Hanuman Prayer Circle

Hanuman Prayer Circle has been created both to serve those in need of healing prayers, and to offer an opportunity for selfless service for those who would like to participate in offering prayers for the benefit of others.

Why Hanuman?
Hanuman is the epitome of selfless service and devotion. He also represents Prana, the lifeforce current which is the only true healer.

Hanuman flew across the sea to the Himalayas in order to bring back healing herbs to save the life of Lakshman, the brother of Shri Ram. Lakshman had been mortally wounded in the great battle against the demon king Ravana. It is Hanuman who makes the impossible possible! When he found that he was unable to discern which exact herb was needed, Hanuman lifted the entire mountain and returned to Rama and Lakshman, carrying the mountain high above him! Lakshman’s life was saved and Hanuman’s joy knew no bounds.

By praying for others, we become like Hanuman, bringing an elixir of healing to those in need by the power of prayer.

Prayer combines focused intention, inner communion, faith, and devotion. These qualities in the one who is praying bring the highest benefit to the one for whom we pray.

Not only those on the receiving end of healing prayers are benefited. Those who engage in praying for others become more and more clear conduits for the healing force to flow, thus receiving blessings themselves.

Prayer Requests
If you would like to request prayers for yourself or others, write a clear and simple request addressed to hanumanprayercircle@gmail.com.

Janaki will be coordinating this service. Your request will be sent out to those serving in prayer within a 2 week period. You must renew your request after one month if you wish the prayers to continue. It is optional to include some sort of information regarding the reason for the request.

Seva Opportunity (Selfless Service)

If you would like to make praying for others part of your daily sadhana(spiritual practice), write to the same address as above. You will receive 1-3 names once per fortnight. You may or may not receive information along with the name. Please always keep this confidential.

Some guidelines for the practice of praying for others:

  1. Wait until the end of your meditation period, when your mind is calm and focused and your heart is open.
  2. Ask that you may serve as a channel for God’s Healing Light. Remember that it is the Divine only who is the healer, flowing through you.
  3. Stay detached and allow impersonal, universal, unconditional love to flow through you.
  4. Keep the mind focused and ask that the very highest benefit may come to the one for whom you are praying, according to the will of God.

May God bless you for your selfless service!
